Summer Reading

Depuis notre déménagement de West New York à Montclair, mon trajet c'est un petit peu rallongé et pour le coup je lis beaucoup plus. J'ai donc attaqué la série Millenium en Juin et je regrette qu'il n'y en ait pas plus!
Since we moved to Montclair this Spring, my commute got just long enough to read more, much more in fact. So I've started the Millenium trilogy and crave for more!
Je suis devenue accroc de Lisbeth Salander, son côté geek, complétement déjentée genre "si tu me cherches tu vas me trouver", j'adore!
I've really loved the Lisbeth Salander character, not only her geek side, but also the "you don't mess with me" attitude and actions!

Nous avons vu le premier volet en ligne sur Netflix, le second était au ciné récemment d'ailleurs, il jouait dans le petit cinéma sur Bloomfield mais nous n'avons pas eu le temps d'y aller - enfin quand on a voulu y aller je n'avais pas fini le second volet donc je ne voulais pas voir le film avant d'avoir fini la deuxième partie. Je suis souvent déçue par la version film donc on va pas aller se bouziller la fin du livre quand même, rien ne remplace l'imagination!
We saw the first movie adaptation via the Netflix streaming. The second chapter was playing in the Montclair movie theater but by the time I finished reading it, it was gone... I am often disappointed by the adaptations, so I preferred not to spoil the book ending, nothing is better than your own imagination!

Du coup on attendra qu'il soit dispo en DVD. Depuis j'ai achevé le troisième volet, je l'ai dévoré! Lisbeth la victime aidée d'une troupe d'amis se fait enfin justice. Et maintenant quoi? Et bien on va retourner lire les Harlan Coben en faisant une petite pause Thriller avec The Time Traveler's Wife et The Kite Runner.
So, we'll wait until it comes out on DVD. Since, I've devoured the third chapter! Lisbeth, the victim and a group of her friends finally avenges herself. Now what? I'll go back to Harlan Coben with a quick stop with The Time Traveler's Wife and The Kite Runner (which Choup and I saw on DVD)

Hollywood a décidé de faire sa version et a choisi cette actrice dans le rôle de Lisbeth: Rooney Mara. Franchement je ne sais pas, l'actrice Noomi Rapace est vraiment bien dans la version originale et je crains que Rooney ne soit pas à la hauteur, pas assez dure et trop mignonne. On verra bien, je leur laisse le bénéfice du doute car il y a Daniel Craig (nouveau James Bond que j'adooooree!)
As with all the successful stories, Hollywood decided to make its own version on the Millenium Trilogy. I have my doubts about it, Noomi Rapace fits the role perfectly and her double (Rooney Mara) might not be up to the task, not tough enough and too pretty. We'll see, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because of Daniel Craig (the latest lovely James Bond).
