Are we there yet?

Maintenant que le déménagement est fait et que 80% des choses sont installées, rangées et qu'on y voit plus clair, c'est le moment de dire: je suis prête! Ils poussent les loulous (dans tous les sens du terme) et le corps commence à bien tirer de partout. Petit topo à 37 semaines passées:
- Il est difficile de rester debout trop longtemps, les articulations chauffent à la fin de la journée.
- Passer de la position allongée à debout devient un challenge (bientôt faudra sortir la grue).
- Des jours sont roses, d'autres sont noirs, saletés d'hormones!
- Se remettre à marcher après avoir été allongée nécessite un échauffement et un déblocage du nerf sciatique.
- Les mollets, chevilles et pieds gonflent, surtout le droit, allez savoir pourquoi, heureusement que c'est l'hiver!
- Les carpiens font un mal de chien, à droite comme à gauche, c'est la pire douleur de toute ma grossesse car elle est continue.

Tout ça pour dire Luke & Leïa, c'est quand vous voulez! Et puis grand-papoonet, maminou et ma marraine arrivent cette semaine donc ce serait bien que les petits soient là pour les occuper.

En bref...

Déménagement effectué.
Emménagement, en cours, y en a du bordel à ranger.
Bébés toujours au chaud dans le bidou.

Leap Day

Ça n'arrive que tous les 4 ans, cette année 2012 est donc bissextile et pour l'occasion, voici la sélection photos de ma séance avec Céline dont celle-ci publiée sur son Photoblog aujourd'hui.

Merci d'être venue jusqu'à la maison pour faire ses belles photos, on a une belle collection pour se souvenir de ses 9 mois passés bien vite finalement.

Les choses essentielles pour l'hosto?

N'ayant jamais fait de séjour à l'hosto aux USA, je me demande quoi amener pour ce passage de 2 à 4 jours suivant comment les choses se passent. Choup a déjà fait deux passages à l'hôpital pour ses deux opérations du genou mais c'était seulement pour la journée (outpatient), donc ça ne m'aide pas trop.

Du coup, j'ai lu sur le net et dans la brochure d'Holy Name (notre hôpital) ce que les futures mamans amenaient en général et j'ai rajouté des choses à ma sauce:
 - des tongs (les pantoufles ça tient trop chaud)
 - des chaussettes douces et hautes (au cas où il fait froid, ce qui ne semble pas être le cas en ce moment)
 - un jogging, legging et short (pour avoir le choix du confort)
 - quelques t-shirts amples, une veste à capuche et un sweat de Choup (devinez lequel je vais mettre le plus)
 - mon oreiller body-pillow qui ne me quitte plus
 - des bonnes vieilles culottes de grand mère pour les pata-cul (certaines utilisent même des culottes jetables)
 - un album photo où j'ai tout mon petit monde avec moi
 - téléphone portable, ipod, ipad, appareil photo et les chargeurs ça va de soit
 - de la lecture dont Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire que je tente désespérément de finir avant d'avoir les bras pleins
 - la trousse de toilette avec la brosse à dent et les lotions pour mieux se sentir comme à la maison
 - les affaires pour Luke & Leïa (layette, pyjama et cie...ils ont un sac rien que pour eux)
 - et des SNACKS! Dont certains seront mangés par le papa pendant le "travail" de la maman (histoire d'être en pleine forme avant, pendant et après) et d'autres pour moi pour m'aider à remettre mon système en route et me conforter la nuit.

Et la tenue de sortie de l'hosto? Ben j'en sais fichtre rien alors je pense que Choup m'amènera ça la veille quand je serai prête à sortir.

For a few more weeks, just the two of us...

Well, we all said this would be the last time at some point, especially when it comes to the next day hangovers. Not that I wouldn't mind talking about those pre and post partying tricks etc, but I wanted to throw a few words on a different topic. During the pregnancy, we surprised ourselves saying that for any event (such as New Year's), this would be the last as just the two of us. So I thought it might be a good subject to put out there, no?
Over the years, we've both evolved, matured (me not so much maybe) as a couple and tried to see what is ahead of us. We will have 2 new additions this March and everything we've seen or experienced so far will be different from that D+1 moment. As for every single piece of matter in the universe, from the atomic level and up when you add things, they transform. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. We'll miss the partying, traveling and eating out as well as the quiet, lazy couch Sundays eating Nutella straight out of the pot. But we've embraced it and are fully expecting the unexpected. Of course we won't be spending a night bar-hopping in the city, nor we'll fly out to the other side of the world in the next couple of months. Or perhaps we will, who knows. This new challenge, or rather adventure that awaits us is an unknown one. We can try to imagine, see how it all plays out but this is one gift (well, two in our case) that keeps surprising!

Je ne vous parle pas de toutes ces fois où l'on s'est promis de ne plus boire après une bonne cuite. On se fait avoir à chaque fois et pourtant... Pendant la grossesse, on s'est souvent surpris à dire tiens, c'est la dernière fois que l'on fait telle ou telle chose tous les deux.
Durant ces dernières années ensemble, nous avons gagné en maturité (enfin, moi pas trop je vous l'accord), confiance en tant que couple et avons toujours regardé devant nous. Notre union, notre couple est en train de se transformer, se préparer à accueillir deux nouvelles additions pour fonder une famille. Un petit coup d'oeil dans le rétro, on s'aperçoit que nous avons eu notre lot de sorties, voyages mais aussi des dimanches tranquilles dans le canapé en bouffant du nutella à la cuillère en matant un film. C'est aussi ça une vie de couple non? Profiter l'un de l'autre, le temps d'une sortie ou d'un film du fin fond de canapé. Certes, on va avoir deux éléments perturbateurs d'ici quelques semaines, mais l'idée reste la même. Découvrir les péripéties de nouveaux parents mais aussi et surtout continuer à être là l'un pour l'autre....

Bon alors non je n'ai pas switché (ouelcome to franglish) mon android pour un iPhone, j'attends désespérément qu'Instagram développe son app pour Android.
Sauf que j'aime bien l'appli et que comme on a un iPad2 (presque trop vieux maintenant que la 3ème version arrive, info ou intox?) et un iPod Touch (mon cadeau du Papa Noël dernier) - vive les geeks - et bien j'ai mis l'appli et je shoote à tout va.

Et oui je prends même la télé en photo pour dire que j'ai *enfin* vu le dernier volet de Twilight. Curieusement j'ai préféré celui ci à celui d'avant, ses aller-retours constants entre Edward et Jacob avaient sérieusement commencé à me gonfler... au moins là elle avait fait son choix avec une grossesse express et une belle petite fille (avec un nom pourri) au bout...un film de filles à voir pendant que l'homme se défoule au foot (*soccer)

On est quasiment au bout!
