Taking off and settling in Cozumel

This year for Thanksgiving we went away. We usually spend it with my "american" family or with friends but this year was different. We had to do something for our second year anniversary. So we booked a trip to Cozumel and stayed at the Allegro Hotel for an all-inclusive week under the sun.

Cette année pour Thanksgiving nous avons décidé de prendre le large. Nous avons pour habitude de rester dans le coin et d'avoir le traditionnel repas avec ma famille "américaine" ou des amis mais cette année était différente. Il fallait bien qu'on fasse quelque chose de spécial pour notre second anniversaire de mariage. Donc nous avons réservé un hôtel à Cozumel, en pension complète pour une semaine sous le soleil (il faut bien se faire plaisir un peu dans la vie).

We got up early on November 19 and arrived in Cancun at 11:30am which was in fact 10:30am since they are an hour behind us. We sat for lunch - yeah well when you get up at 4am I think you can have lunch at 11:30 huh 10:30 sorry... And we had 3 hours to kill anyway so we might as well do something while we waited.

Nous partons donc à l'aube le 19 Novembre et arrivons à Cancun à 11h30 ou plutôt 10h30 puisqu'il y a une heure en moins (avec le S prononcé si on est du Sud Ouest). Nous décidons de nous poser pour une bière mexicaine et un petit casse-croûte, ben quoi même si c'est que 10h30 quand on se lève à 4h on peut considérer qu'il est temps de déjeuner, non? Et puis on avait quand même 3h d'attente avant notre vol pour Cozumel.

Comes our departure to Cozumel on a tiny plane and then a short drive through the center of the island to finally arrive to our hotel. We settled down, unpacked and walked around the resort. When we arrive the sun was setting down so we didn't really see the beach but we had a great surprise for our first night and that's another story.

Enfin le départ pour Cozumel à bord d'un petit avion puis un trajet rapide à travers le centre de l'île pour enfin arriver à notre hôtel. On déballe les valises, se promène dans le complexe (c'est immense!) et on est gâté par une agréable surprise le soir de notre arrivée... mais ça c'est une autre histoire.
