Hacienda Antigua Tequila Tour

After our visit to Ixchel and to finish our jeep tour, we went to the Hacienda Antigua for a tequila tour and testing. There you'll learn about the many types of agave and how it is cropped, pulped, fermented and distilled. We also learned that such as champagne and cognac, tequila is an appellation, therefore protected by laws. And at the end of the tour you get to try some award winning tequila, 100% Agave!

Après notre visite des ruines Maya et pour finir notre tour de l'île en jeep, nous sommes allés à l'Hacienda Antigua pour en apprendre plus sur la Tequila Mexicaine et la tester. On a donc appris qu'il y avait beaucoup de variétés d'agave différentes, et que la tequila faite de 100% d'agave bleue est la meilleure, forcément. Tout comme le champagne et le cognac, la tequila est une AOC, donc produite exclusivement au Mexique (si vous voyez de la tequila made in China, méfiez-vous). Nous avons testé 4 tequilas différentes dont 2 que nous avons ramenées dans nos valises.

We then drove to the center of the island to drop off people who wanted to stay in downtown and we headed back to the hotel. This was a wonderful day, you don't need more than that to discover and learn about Cozumel.

Nous avons ensuite pris la direction du centre-ville où nous avons déposé une partie du groupe qui voulait rester faire les touristes jusqu'au bout et nous sommes rentrés à l'hôtel. Nous avons passé une bien belle journée, bien remplie et c'était bien suffisant pour découvrir les "attractions" de Cozumel.
