Cape Cod adventure

Of course, as we always do move around, there wouldn't be a week-end without going somewhere. This past one we headed out to Cape Cod our little romantic getaway was ahead of us!

We took off late in the morning from NJ and after nearly half a dozen hours spent in traffic (I-95 is horrible) we finally got to our hotel in West Yarmouth. Since it was dinner time, we got out rather quickly and started to look around for food. Not any food actually, seafood actually! So we stopped at a local place and got us some deep fried stuff and a beer. Once our bellies full, we headed back to the hotel for a quick jump in the pool and got some sleep for the next day.

On Saturday, we had to wake up pretty early and after a good breakfast we went to Barnstable harbor, where the whale watching boat was waiting. An hour or so later, we were in deep ocean where we admired the biggest mammals on Earth eat hundreds of pounds of fish a day and scratch their backs off the boat!

Almost four hours and a sunburn later (only the unconscious one got burnt though, I let you guess which one :), we were back at the harbor and enjoyed once again some deep fried seafood! Since the beach wasn't far away at all, we enjoyed a little bit of sunbathing, the water was a bit cold and calm... On the evening, we headed to the restaurant where we enjoyed big lobsters!

The next morning we decided to be beach bums for the day and took off to Seagull Beach. The weather was temperate with some clouds and winds, the water nice and not too cold. As we didn't judge necessary to put some sunscreen on, we found ourselves to be pretty much sunburn the same night! The week has already started and we came back on Monday night, sunburned, tired but happy!

Next off, a day at the Jersey Shore!

Évadons nous donc pour un weekend en amoureux!

Direction Cape Cod, départ vendredi midi et arrivée après quelques heures coincés dans les bouchons de la I-95...

Nous décidons donc de nous restaurer une fois la chambre d'hôtel prise (pas n'importe laquelle, mon chéri m'avait gâtée avec un joli package king et champagne!!!).

Nous dinnons donc dans un ptit restaurant local avec des crustacés frits, pas top pour moi mais bon nous sommes aux US!

Après s'être rassasiés, nous retournons à l'hôtel prendre une bonne nuit de repos avant la grosse journée qui nous attend.

Samedi matin, debout de bonne heure et nous prenons la direction de Barnstable Harbor pour embarquer sur le bateau de 9h30 qui nous emmènera voir les baleines pendant quelques heures. Mon petit coeur a déjà bien rougi et nous avons pu voir les baleines de très très près!

Après le déjeuner, nous décidons de nous étaler sur la plage non loin de là, où l'eau bien que calme était vraiment très froide! Quelques heures de bronzage après, nous rentrons à l'hôtel et nous préparons pour notre restaurant local où on s'est enfilé du homard délicieux et la bouteille de champagne of course!

Le Dimanche, après le check-out et des bagels, nous allons sur la plage des Seagull profiter d'un océan plus chaud et agité que la veille!
Après de bonnes couleurs prises encore une fois, nous prenons la route pour Andover où mon ange a rdv le lendemain.

Nous reprenons la route en fin de journée Lundi, contents et bien fatigués de notre weekend en amoureux!
